On January 28th, Coláiste Eoin was delighted to welcome back former student Jim McCabe.  Jim , Niamh and the fm104 road-hog rolled into the school in the early hours to broadcast their morning show-The Strawberry Alarmclock. There was great excitement in the school. The students got lots of prizes and 2nd year Steven Lowry got his chance to shine on air! In conjunction with the visit, the students of Coláiste Eoin organised a charity fundraising day for the victims of the Haitian earthquake. The 3 Pearse class held a raffle and non-uniform day and were up bright and early to help out. The 5 Yeats class also held a carwash. Overall with the help of students, staff and people from the local community we raised over 2000 Euro.

After their show, Jim and Niamh came to talk to the senior students about life in broadcasting. Jim is a fantastic ambassador for Finglas and as a past pupil he related well with the students . Niamh was on hand to give some excellent careers advice to the seniors. This was the second year that Jim and Niamh have visited the school and we were honoured to have them back.
